NAFCOC STATEMENT ON MATRIC RESULTS FOR THE CLASS OF 2015

The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC) congratulate all the learners that have achieved their National Senior Certificate in 2015.

We further congratulate top achievers like John Sibanda, Dimpho Phalane and Mangaliso Dobe, Enerst Molelle, Kukhokuhle Tsengwa and Hamandishe Mathivha, Carel Coetzee, Simone Heenop, Tala Ross, William May and Andrew Tucker, among others for exceptional passes.

Additionally we congratulate best achievers among those students like Selby Rihlapfu, Ntsusheko Maluleko and Noziphiwo Mdingi and many others who have had to overcome limitations imposed by their disabilities to excel in their exams. NAFCOC has always pushed the agenda of empowering special interest groups including women, youth and people with disabilities. It is with pride and joy that we note that girls have generally passed more and got more distinctions than boys.

We continue to urge the Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga to include Entrepreneurial education in schools for it is our belief that the formal job sector cannot absorb all the students being channelled by our educational institutions.

NAFCOC further wishes to encourage all those who have failed their National Senior Certificate and those that will not be accepted into Higher Education institutions that there are several avenues to them available including vocational training and entrepreneurial support.

NAFCOC will work hard in ensuring that its vision entrepreneurship based education is adopted in our country’s educational curriculum.
