On Sunday morning, February 7 at approximately 00:30 a golden Toyota bakkie travelling from Watermeyer Street towards The Huntsman allegedly lost control of his vehicle and collided into three vehicles which were parked in the parking lot at The Huntsman.

The driver of the blue Volkswagen Citi Golf was busy getting into his vehicle when the golden Toyota hit the cars.
He sustained serious injuries to his leg and arm; he was stabilized on scene and taken to Life Cosmos hospital for further treatment.

The other two drivers stood there in shock as they looked on at their vehicles that were damaged in the accident.

“I was inside the bar when I heard a bang that is when I ran out to see what had happened,” said Mr Gilbert Marume, whose white Mazda was hit.

It’s alleged that the driver of the golden Toyota ran away from scene, but he was later found. Paramedics attended to him as he sustained serious injuries. He was also transported to hospital for treatment.

“My friend who was climbing into his vehicle at that stage is still in hospital, he broke his leg and arm in two places,” said Marume.
