Mr Kingdom Mabuza, municipal spokesperson said that the relevant department is busy with the October statements.
“There are still minor challenges but the team is working hard to make sure that residents and business get accurate accounts. We are not the only municipality who is experiencing challenges with the new system. We are constantly in contact with other affected municipalities to exchange ideas and share expert advice on the new system,” he said, “Residents who feel that they were incorrectly billed recently should approach the municipality and after it has been verified that we got it wrong, we will rectify the situation.”
The problem with the electricity accounts was also brought to the attention of the Nkangala District Municipality and WITBANK NEWS is awaiting feedback.
