Phola SAPS is continuing with visiting various schools to host campaigns. Mabande Comprehensive High School was visited two weeks ago and this time around it was Mehlwana Secondary School’s turn.

The Phola SAPS Station Commander Lt Col Nape Matlala and his team visited the school on Monday morning, March 5.

It was an awareness campaign for learners to be educated about crime in general, drugs, dagga, dangerous weapons and bullying.

Rachel Nyambi (member of the Phola Community Policing Forum) spoke to the learners at assembly. She encouraged them to maintain their discipline, be punctual and not use drugs.

From the police’s side: Capt Jannie Kamfer (Vispol Commander), Tom Mtsweni (Youth Desk Chairperson) and Cst Thabang Mabena (Phola SAPS Corporate Communication Official) were joined by the Phola Community Policing Forum members: Daniel Nkutha (Chairperson), Margaret Msiza (Secretary) and Nyambi at the school.

Phola SAPS members are grateful for the warm welcome they received from the principal of the School, Moses Thenjekwayo and his staff members.
