Young man searches for mother

A young man is in search of his mother, who abandoned him and his twin brother at birth.

Mr Khuzani Xulu (17) is in search of his mother, Ms Busi Khumalo, who abandoned him and his twin brother near the river at eMpangeni Village in Kwa-Zulu Natal after giving birth to them 17 years ago.

Xulu and his twin brother Khuzeni were born at eMpangeni Village. Their mother dumped them near the Welase River at eMpangeni Village and they were found by a woman by the name of Thandi Xulu. She gave them to her sister, Esther Mathebula, who chose to adopt and raise them.

Mr Khuzani Xulu holds up a photo of his mother for whom he is looking.

Apparently they were raised by the Xulu family up until they started school at Sibani Sethu Primary School and then dropped out in Grade 10 at Regy Masuku High School.

Xulu claims not to know his father or his mother’s family and also does not have a home.

“He has received information that his mother is either in Phola or eMalahleni,” said Const Thabang Petros Mabena, Phola and Ogies Cooperate Communication Officer.

If you have any information that may assist Xulu or the police please contact the station on 013 643 8601.
