Witbank Arts Campus Excel in Competition.

Witbank Arts Campus participated in two events recently, namely, Talent Africa Nationals on the 8th of April and Artisticulta on the 27th of May.

Talent Africa Nationals were held at the Roodepoort Theatre from the 01/04 to 08/04/2017. Witbank Arts Campus participated and achieved the following:


Marie Lombard (owner) proud of all the contestants that took part in the competitions. This shows Witbank Arts Campus was placed first for overall vocals and instrumental at Talent Africa Nationals in April.

Naomi van Dyk received four gold medals for vocals and piano. Diamond Blues who are Paul Tshabalala and Justice Shabangu, received one silver and two gold medals for a duet in their saxophone and piano. Suretha Burger received three gold medals for piano and Shannon Levings received five bronze (two for drama, two for piano and one for photogenic modelling), as well as two golds for photography. Sipho SJ Malings received three golds for drums. Ane and Carla Els were awarded thirteen gold medals and three silver medals combined for drama, vocals and photography. Jade Opperman received three bronze medals for vocals and Sheila van Niekerk received one silver and two bronze for vocals. Shublie Fourie received six gold, two silver and two bronze for modelling, drama, instrumental and vocals. Cassandra Nhlapo received two gold medals, two silver and one bronze for drama and vocals.

Witbank Arts Campus was placed first overall for Instrumental at Talent Africa Nationals. All those who received gold medals at Talent Africa were invited to join the South African Team in New York for Talent America 2017.
Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog hosted Artisticulta this year in May.

Witbank Arts Campus achieved the following:

Abigail Cullen 2 gold medals for vocals, Zenique van der Spuy 2 gold medals for piano, Shannon Levings 2 gold medals for piano and 2 gold medals for drama and Jade Opperman 2 gold medals for vocals. They have an opportunity to go to Nationals in 2018.
